      Important Details:

      • Wage: $12.48 per hour

      • Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday plus overtime as necessary

      • Full-Time positions only

      • Quality experience preferred but not required

      Overview

      The Quality Assurance Inspector does visual and dimensional checks of finished garments and compares to specific brand standards. This position communicates defects back to production and tracks repaired garments. This position is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm and may require overtime during the week and on Saturdays.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • Document findings on end item and dimension sheets-Daily
      • Report findings on production board-Daily
      • Ability to work at various speeds depending on the complexity of the garment. Able to achieve 70% efficiency in 6 months time.
      • Provide excellent customer service to internal customers-Daily
      • Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment – Daily
      • Utilize a teamwork approach for all projects-Daily
      • This position requires you to be focused on details, being able to detect broken stitches, missing components, missing bar tacks, measuring and looking for defects in workmanship
      • Participation in Peckham’s safety programs and ergonomic activities is required-Daily
      • Other related duties as assigned
      • This position is M-F 7:30am-4pm and may require overtime

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

      This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      This position requires that the applicant pass the Peckham quality assessment.

      LANGUAGE SKILLS

      Ability to read and interpret end item, dimension sheets and basic work instructions. Ability to write legibly.

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

      Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and common fractions.

      REASONING ABILITY

      Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, or walk up to 4 hours with a break after 2 hours and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
