Job Description

- This is a key role in which you'll be responsible for recommending and monitoring actively managed third party strategies across asset classes
- We’ll look to you to promote our Fund Research team as the sole centre of competence for primary fund research within the business area
- You'll generate new investment ideas regarding funds and investment themes, and you'll contribute to further refining the team’s philosophy and processes – You’ll generate new fund and investment ideas whilst further refining the team’s philosophy
- Managing relationships with fund managers and fund houses
- Maintaining an awareness of events in capital markets, keeping up to date with economic research insight and house views
- Implementing the preferred fund range and making sure that investment exposures are fully understood by clients
- Promoting and championing an open and honest culture of challenging and being challenge
- To be familiar with software packages such as Style Research, Morningstar Direct and Excel
- Knowledge of the UK retail investment products market
- Excellent communication skills
- A flexible approach to your work and the ability to work well as part of a team

What you'll do
As a Fund Analyst, you’ll be analysing actively managed long only strategies, including regulated non-traditional strategies.. With this, you’ll conduct and document initial strategy due diligence and selection, as well as the being responsible for the ongoing monitoring processes.

We're looking for someone with strong research skills and demonstrable experience in investments and fund research. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn your insights into strategy rotation and portfolio construction.
