- Written reports on the viability of a development project (Initial report) and Budgetary control, quality, progress, insurances, contracts and adherence to statutory procedures (Interim Reports);
- Provision of technical advice and managing projects;
- Production of Construction Monitoring reports, development appraisals and certification duties;
- To project manage and co-ordinate the input of other in-house disciplines into a formal report;
- To draft and finalise technical reports to a high written standard;
- To attend site progress meetings as required in respect of ongoing projects including undertaking traditional valuations and identifying programming slippages; and
- Identifying new leads and growing client relationships through the delivery process.
- Ideally you'll be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with the ability to carry out development monitoring / project monitoring and due diligence services to its clients who are lenders and investors in a variety of construction projects based in the UK.
- You should be experienced within fund / development monitoring having gained experience in the construction industry providing you with a practical and a thorough knowledge of the construction process.
- You will need to have excellent report writing skills and be able to review and opine on development proposals to ascertain the project viability mainly from a construction point of view providing essential advice to the client on cost, procurement, programme and security documentation.
- Able to multi-task, prioritise and balance numerous activities and demands, in short time periods/deadlines.
- Good practical knowledge of the construction processes and working knowledge of JCT Building Contracts.

Are you an experienced Development / Fund Monitoring Surveyor? We're looking for a new team member to join our profitable and busy Investment Services Team, to help deliver initial due diligence reports, periodic construction monitoring reports and technical advice to clients. In addition, this role will also provide strategic advisory services to a wide range of clients.
You will typically be advising clients as part of a full initial review of development proposals, reporting and advising on all aspects of the delivery of a real estate development (developer credentials, financing, appraisal budgets, programme, design, statutory consents, third party legal agreements, site investigations and construction commercial set up) and identifying development risks - with advice feeding into the structuring of transactions.
You will have accountability to the Clients team on a day-to-day basis and hence you must be able to work using your initiative to provide professional and accurate advice directly to the Client. You will be expected to prepare initial due diligence reports on all aspects of a development and carry out regular inspections during the construction phase of a project.
