The management trainees are seen as the future leaders of FactSet. For the first six months, they will progress through a carefully planned stage, which shall include the following:
- Understand the environment that we operate in
- Be a part of production floor and carry out the responsibilities in an effective manner
- Over time, take the responsibilities of QC of the team’s work
- Provide the support to the process management team by suggesting innovation/ process improvement
- Work on time bound projects and ensure end to end delivery: from conceptualizing to closure
- Carry out six sigma project(s), under the guidance of certified trainers
- At the completion of the 6 months period, the Management Trainees shall take up the leadership role in the selected process. The responsibility at that time shall include (but not restricted to):
- Responsible for ensuring that his/her team provides accurate and reliable content/financial and/or quantitative financial and non-financial market data to internal database and/or external clients based on various data sources, financial reports, and resources.
- Incumbent may handle multiple collection or quality processes and/or markets.
- Ensures timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the coverage of their teams' collection and drive actions to continuously improve the same.
- Timely, accurate, complete collection and update of data
- Manage performance evaluation metrics and formulate, execute, monitor, and assess motivation plans for enhanced employee morale and appropriate rewards systems.
- Build strong connection with team members, act as a mentor, motivate the team and lead by example.
- Improved motivation and continuous development of the core competencies of the team members resulting to better employee satisfaction and retention
- Management of team and supervision of production floor/day to day operations
- Identifies improvement projects/tool enhancement initiatives, new sources, and liaises with Content Development for development and implementation.
- Observes the values and principles around Business Enterprise Agility and Digital Transformation in handling projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Continuous improvements in the process/database by following the Agile and Digital Transformation principles, which will lead to client satisfaction.
- Works with Senior management and respective stakeholders to build plans and improvement strategies for greater output.
- Smooth execution of operational plans and business strategies
- Prepares capacity planning, manages shifts and workload distribution.
- Drives goals through cross-production, shift and overtime requirement.
- Efficiently managing resources for productive results that contributes to timely delivery of data to clients.
- Hires appropriate candidates to fulfill resources requirement.
- New resource hiring for timely production delivery.
- Serves as escalation point for complex data quality-related queries, production, and technical issues.
- Conducts spot check / detailed reviews of market coverage by Collection Analysts and provide qualitative feedback.
- Improved collection efficiency and data quality standards
- Post Graduate in Commerce / Finance from premiere B’Schools
- Basic Financial knowledge
- Good understanding of management concepts and tools
- Ability to link management concepts to day to day work
- Good project management skills
- Motivational skills. Continuously boosting the team motivation and employee morale.
- Strong communication skills. Major part of the role involves sharing and receiving information.
- Flexible and adaptable as per the business requirements
- Good at MIS, MS applications (Excel, Word & Power Point) and usage of statistical tools
- Drive to learn new things and deliver in a challenging environment
- Exposed to decision making, process improvement tools and techniques.
- Flexibility to work in shifts
- Excellent communication skills - both Written and Oral

The Content Operations teams at FactSet use the best in technology to collect the most accurate and timely information for the global investor. As a part of this team, you will get an opportunity to constantly deal with financial data that helps our clients make investment decisions. FactSet Content Operations is mainly divided into two major sub groups - Collection and FactSet Fundamentals.
The Diverse Content Department collects proprietary financial information. The Content teams work on various databases and are responsible for researching, adding, parsing, storing and updating abundant financial information useful for Investors.
FactSet Fundamentals Team collects financial statements of Public and Private (US only) companies across the continent. The team sources the company filings from various sources like stock exchanges, company websites, and regulatory body & third party vendors. We extract & analyze the data from financial statement like Balance Sheet, Income Statement & Cash flow statement of the company. Also, the team collects the textual data like Business Activities, Officers, Shareholder, industry classification and etc.
