- Perform basic maintenance of crane and rigging associated with operations.
- Notify the chain of command of any defaults with crane or rigging.
- Maintain a safe and productive crane environment.
- Check radius and set up of crane before operations begin.
- Provide input on lift plans.
- Work closely with the foreman on issues of safety and toolbox talks.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Overhead crane operation
- NCCCO Certification
- Gantry certification
- Crane Operator NCCCO
- Minimum of 3 years experience in heavy civil projects
- Previous experience in rigging and signaling
- Previous experience in bridge or tunnel operations
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner (verbal and written)
- Ability to read and understand heavy construction plans

Work Environment
Work schedule includes 4 weeks on day shift, followed by 4 weeks on night shift. Each shift lasts 10 hours a day, Monday through Sunday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
