Job Description

Will ensure the safe and efficient operations of compressor stations, meter stations and pipeline systems at all times through the execution of daily operating plans
Will identify , analyze, and take appropriate action to mitigate abnormal operating conditions at compressor stations, meter stations and pipeline systems
Will monitor and respond to alarms as per established protocol
Will process customer nominations and imbalances in a non-discriminatory manner
Will follow Document Standard for documenting all relevant operational information during the shift and Responsibility Transfer Procedure to communicate all operationally significant information during shift change
Will assist in the troubleshooting of various operating tools used in the Control Center
Must have a high school diploma—Three years of natural gas industry experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Must have a working-level knowledge of gas hydraulics and compressors
Must obtain D.O.T. Operator Qualification certification through the successful completion of the Company's testing and evaluation program within the prescribed timeframe
Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be conscientious, attentive, and able to work well with others in a team environment
Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
Must possess strong mathematical, analytical and computer skills
Must be proficient in most Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Must obtain D.O.T. Operator Qualification certification through the successful completion of the Company's testing and evaluation program within the prescribed timeframe
College degree or technical school diploma is preferred
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Provide a driver’s abstract for review
Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing
