The Gatorade Sales internship is responsible for selling-in Gatorade displays and merchandising Gatorade product at store level within the Greater Metro Phoenix geography. The position offers candidate the opportunity to be trained by experts at display selling, identifying share-growing opportunities, and develop strategies to differentiate a brand in the marketplace. Position will work closely with local Pepsi teams as well as Pepsi division leadership. Upon completion candidate will share out a Capstone Project report out. This paid internship requires 40 hours per week. Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-6:00pm. What you can expect: Strong Focus on Leadership Skill Development. Below are some of the activities in which you can expect to participate: Learn the PepsiCo selling foundation: use fact-based selling skills and deliver exceptional customer service to maximize Gatorade volume and revenue in key assigned accounts. Use your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset to grow volume & revenue to achieve key metrics. Successfully interact with Customers and effectively sell in and execute Sales programs and initiatives. Collect, chart, and interpret statistical data; Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers as required. Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance. As the work environment is physical: stand, walk, reach, and squat throughout the workday. Responsibilities What we’re looking for: Self-starting individuals who possess the passion and drive to win. Strong work ethic and heightened sense of urgency to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment. Proven leadership throughout your academic career (on- or off- campus) a plus. Previous selling and/or customer service experience (on- or off-campus; either through part time jobs, internship, or academic clubs) a plus. Spanish language skills a plus. Primary Accountabilities: Provide additional merchandising and selling support for Gatorade brand portfolio on store shelves, coolers and displays in assigned location(s). Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf. Transport products to and from backroom to shelf location. Use equipment to transport products (e.g. U Boats, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) Keep backroom stock in neat and orderly condition. Display promotional material such as signs and banners in accounts. Communicate store issues to store managers and Pepsi management. Deliver & grow customer relationships at the store level (e.g. communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs, etc.) Ability to operate under minimal supervision (self-managed role). Regular, reliable, predictable attendance. Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $42,000 - $67,000 based on a full-time schedule. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
