      Your role as General Counsel

      Reporting jointly to the VP & Associate General Counsel, Retail Advice & Solutions, Investment Solutions, and Sun Life Health at Sun Life, as well as the CFO at Dialogue, you will play an integral role in advancing the company’s top priorities. These include supporting Go-to-Market strategies, Talent & Culture, Privacy, Regulatory matters, and Governance.

      This position is part of Dialogue’s leadership team and will work closely with legal, compliance, privacy, risk, and other enabling functions at Sun Life.

      What you’ll be doing:

      • Providing sound legal advice to the executive team on a variety of strategic matters and leading negotiation processes when required
      • Supporting Dialogue’s leadership team on corporate governance matters and serving as a liaison with the Sun Life Corporate Secretary team
      • Setting priorities, and managing, coaching, and developing the Dialogue Legal team
      • Ensuring Dialogue complies with all applicable provincial and federal laws, while proactively monitoring potential regulatory changes in the healthcare and privacy landscapes

      We'd love to hear from you if you have:

      • 10+ years of professional work experience combined in industry and at a law firm
      • Excellent judgment and the ability to navigate a matrixed organizational structure
      • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) and are a member of the bar in good standing
      • Experience within a public company is an asset
      • Proven ability to structure, manage and inspire seasoned and high-performing teams
      • Expertise in commercial contracts, privacy, governance, and employment law
      • Strong communication skills in French & English as you will represent Dialogue across different jurisdictions
      • Experience in the healthcare regulatory and/or technology space is a nice to have
      • You thrive in Hybrid work: 3 days/week in our Montreal office

      Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
