      Overview

      The successful candidate must manage up to five trade Operations Supervisors and sixty hourly employees, provide direction and technical assistance to supervisors and hourly employees. Manage the performance of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Continuous Improvement. Responsible for the administration and execution of work orders, TGIs, DLs, ERs, Unsats, Test Forms, etc. Support Area Superintendents with expertise as required, coordinate trade work assignments with Area Superintendents, support Ships Management meetings and responsible for trade commitments. Responsible for mentoring new Supervisors and for specific fixtures associated with craft. Ensure necessary training and qualifications are maintained for salary and hourly employees. Support Supervisors with labor issues, discipline, EEO and OSHA compliance.

      Qualifications

      Required

      • High School/GED Required.
      • At least 3 years of previous related/trades Supervisory or management experience
      • 3 years electrical experience

      Preferred

      • AS/BS/Technical School
      • 5 years Electrical experience, consisting of education/training (i.e. Technical School, AS/BS degree in any engineering discipline) and experience in the electrical field.
      • Knowledge of Electrical processes, including and not limited to fabrication and installation of ship’s wireways. Installation and Hook-up of cables for Nuclear and Non-Nuclear systems aboard ship, Fiber Optics, Vulcanizing and Lighting.
      • Working Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Lotus Notes, ATA, EWP, MRP and Artemis.

      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
      • Possess knowledge of Planning, Construction and Test activities.
      • Strong Working Knowledge of EBOS
      • Proficient with EVMS
