Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

Join our team for a 2-year long project in Santa Fe, NM, working at the National Cemetery, a national shrine to veterans. The project involves re-aligning every single headstone and installing new sod. This requires the removal of headstones, digging trenches, replacing and packing soil. This is repetitive work that requires constant lifting and bending.

Responsibilities

• Re-align each headstone and install new sod
• Remove headstones and dig trenches
• Replace and pack soil
• Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
• Follow instructions and work independently without constant supervision
• Handle pieces with care and respect the national shrine

Essential Skills

• Experience with general labor
• Experience working outdoors
• Ability to follow instructions and complete repetitive tasks
• Strong work ethic and desire to work
• Physical stamina for constant lifting and bending

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Back ground in landscaping

Work Environment

You will be working outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions, including cold and heat. The team consists of 10 members working together on tasks and assignments. The job is physically demanding and requires attention to detail. Given the nature of the work on a national shrine, it is crucial to handle all tasks with care and respect. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm or 4:30 pm, depending on the day's tasks. You can take your lunch break offsite or eat with the team.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.97 - $18.97/hr.
