  New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a resource for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.
  
  Compensation: $22.50 per hour
  
  Looking for a general maintenance technician for our client who will work in a biotechnology facility. This position involves a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, with a focus on painting, carpentry, and general maintenance. The role requires skills in various technical fields, including wall covering, drywall repair, and potentially tile installation, furniture finishing, framing, plumbing, and roofing. The ideal candidate will be versatile, skilled in multiple trades, and able to work independently under supervisor direction
  
  Job Responsibilities:
  • Performing painting and wall covering tasks on interior and exterior surfaces
  • Installing, repairing, and finishing drywall and plaster
  • Removing and reinstalling furniture, equipment, and fixtures in work areas
  • Inspecting and repairing damaged surfaces for remodeling projects
  • Estimating project requirements and ordering materials
  • Using various tools and equipment safely and appropriately
  • Completing carpentry, flooring, cabinetry, and related maintenance tasks
  • Adapting techniques and principles as needed for different projects
    
  Required Qualifications:
  • General Maintenance experience at a facility
  • Installing, repairing, and finishing drywall, plaster and painting
  • Furniture installation experience
  • Advanced computer skills for record-keeping and parts ordering
  • Experience with various Hand/Power Tools
  • Advanced computer skills for record-keeping and parts ordering
  • Vocational training or associate degree in mechanical engineering, carpentry, or related field highly desired
  • NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification highly desired
  • Familiarity with cGMP guidelines and FDA regulations highly desired
  • Experience with specialized pharmaceutical equipment highly desired
