Job Description

- Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and building requiring basic skills and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
- Performs a variety of duties: as replacing electrical receptacles, cover plates using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, painting structures and equipment and furniture moves.
- Ensures proper housekeeping practices are observed.
- Assists other crafts and trades personnel in their daily operations.
- Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades.
- Performs other tasks as necessary an incidental to the required work as directed such as carpet cleaning, job site cleanup, and pressure washing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Three years' work experience in O&M services supporting a military base or civilian installation.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic working knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and painting
- Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
- Ability to obtain Government credentials that may be required.
