      Restaurant General Manager – Provincetown, MA



      We are seeking a capable General Manager to oversee operations and lead a team to success in a high-volume, full-service venue. Our organization is led by its founder, and our mission-driven approach is complemented by a fun and supportive atmosphere. However, we take our food and guest service very seriously.

      Duties & Responsibilities


      • Building, leading and developing a dynamic and diverse team
      • Ensuring our guests have an amazing dining experience
      • Ready to work a 50-60 hour work week
      • Managing a team of managers and hourly employees, focusing on leadership development, and ready to run large, seasonal, hiring and training pushes
      • Setting smart goals, clear expectations, and following established processes with the support and guidance from an engaged operations team
      • Working in a supportive and collaborative environment that values and solicits open and honest top to bottom communication
      • Managing catering orders and onsite private events
      • Analyzing sales and controlling expenses, payroll and inventory
      • Utilizing your exceptional attention to detail, safety, cleanliness and organization


      Qualifications

      • 5+ years experience as a General Manager in a high volume / full bar environment, experience in a new store opening (preferred)
      • Knowledge of managing a very seasonal business - flexing up dramatically for the summer months and tightening belts in the winter
      • A strong understanding of systems, both operational and developmental/training
      • Excellent communication skills both with your team and with operational leadership
      • Strong financial / business acumen and understanding of food safety standards, DOH regulations
      • The ability to synthesize data into actionable items
      • Excellent hospitality standards - best in class when running daily service
      • A willingness to get your hands dirty - this is a very active job, leading the team by example every day
      • Ability to handle shellfish / tolerate exposure to shellfish allergen
