SUMMARY OF POSITION
The General Production Labor on the Fabrication Floor is responsible for following procedures to process carcasses to standard cuts for market. Responsible for achieving goals set by Fabrication Manager on line speed and quality of work. Must ensure Fabrication Floor operations run smoothly, efficiently, cleanly, safely, remain in compliance at all times and contribute to team effort.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with beef boning processes which may include:
• Assembly line work performing a few of the many cuts needed to process a carcass.
• Remove bones and cut meat into standard cuts for market.
• Sort and separate lean meat and fat.
• Pull, Bag, and Package cuts to fulfill orders.
• Use tools and machinery including, but not limited to, knives, wrap products, scales, grinders, and other hand or power tools.
Physical requirements and environment:
• Stand for long periods of time performing, physical and repetitive line work.
• Gripping, grasping, and lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds is required.
• Must be able to withstand cold temperatures and work in a wet environment.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience: Experience in manufacturing with similar environment preferred.
