      Job Title: General Production Worker


      Job Description

      As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in the pellet production line, operating a forklift and ensuring the smooth flow of production. Your responsibilities will include loading raw materials into mixers, monitoring the production line for errors, packaging materials, and preparing them for shipping. You will also ensure the cleanliness of the workspace by sweeping up resin on the floors.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate forklift to fill bags with raw materials.
      • Load raw materials into the production line machine.
      • Monitor the production line for errors and ensure smooth operation.
      • Package materials into sacks and prepare for shipping.
      • Transport products to the oven and load them using a forklift.
      • Weigh and wrap the final product for shipping.
      • Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors to clear black coal resin.

      Essential Skills

      • High mechanical aptitude.
      • Comfortable with sit-down forklift certification.
      • Minimum 6 months experience in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
      • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
      • Comfortable wearing a respirator and shaving facial hair for fitting.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with sit-down forklifts.
      • Familiarity with operating heavy machinery or mixing machines.
      • Experience wearing a respirator.

      Work Environment

      The work environment is dusty, involving close collaboration with a small team of eight individuals. The role is physically demanding, requiring cross-training and the ability to adapt to different tasks. You will wear a provided respirator, Tyvek suit, and safety gear, and work in conditions that can become hot and humid, but with effective ventilation and fans. The shift is from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, potentially transitioning to 12-hour days. Extra breaks are provided during high-temperature days.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ARDEN HILLS, Minnesota.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
