Under the direction of the General Studies Department Chair, the Remote Full-Time Instructor of Computer & Information Literacy will provide online instruction for General Education related to the Knoxville campus. In addition to teaching within the general education curriculum, this role will support students across the curriculum and programs to develop their computer literacy skills. Course concepts focus on navigating technology basics such as email, the internet, and the Canvas classroom, in addition to learning Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Instructors update course syllabi, develop lesson plans, develop presentation materials, and evaluate students’ progress. Instructors are required to ensure the safety and security of their classrooms and effectively use class time. This position will work remotely in support of the South College-Lonas Drive Campus in Knoxville, TN.
