      Summary:

      The General Superintendent reports to the Operations Manager and operates in a collaborative role with the
      Trade Managers, Foremen, Project Managers, BIM and other members of the construction operations team. It
      is the Gen Super's responsibility to monitor, track and manage the field team by starting and finishing projects
      strongly and in compliance with company processes. In addition to project starts and finishes, the Gen Super will
      provide oversight on challenging projects as assigned by the Operations Manager. The Gen Super role requires
      strong mechanical and plumbing trade knowledge and a good understanding of company processes to
      successfully start and complete projects.


      Requirements and Experience :

      • Plan and supervise all CES trade activities - Includes determining the method of construction, manpower
        levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule, and documenting actual
        daily activities and job progress.
      • Coordinate assigned work with the work of CES trades, company departments, or other subcontractors for
        assigned projects.
      • Monitor and track construction project(s) to ensure that we have "Project Start" and "Project Finish" plans
        in place.
      • Assist the Operations team members with action steps required to successfully complete our "Project Start"
        and "Project Finish" plans on projects.
      • Provide oversight and leadership to solve specific project challenges as assigned by the Operations Manager
        or Vice President of Construction.
      • Provide input on means, methods and best practices on construction field operations.
      • Attend and participate in Kick-Off Meetings, Labor Forecasting Meetings and other meetings as required.
      • Evaluate and document the work performance of assigned personnel.
      • Forecast short and long-term manpower requirements on assigned projects.
      • Accurately document changes in work scope.
      • Prepare time and material estimates for directed contract changes.
      • Valid Florida Driver's License is required
      • Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier

      Qualifications

      • Minimum of 15 years of mechanical and plumbing supervision level experience.
      • OSHA 30 hour class, First Aid and CPR current certifications.
      • Strong familiarity with plumbing and mechanical codes.
      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and graduate of a post-secondary program of
        instruction of two or more years in duration or completion of apprenticeship program or similar training
        program required. May require to be licensed
      • Valid Florida Driver's License is required
      • Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier
      • Must be able to pass regular drug testing and be open to background checks
