What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage consultation requests regarding genetic laboratory tests, providing risk evaluations and interpretations
- Recommend specific testing strategies and collect necessary medical information for accurate results
- Facilitate specimen collections and ensure timely delivery to the genetics laboratory
- Monitor and track tests, including prenatal genetic testing and critical genetic test send-outs
- Communicate abnormal results to clients and manage case follow-up documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three years of related experience in genetic counseling or a similar field
- Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline
- Board Eligible/Board Certified as a Genetic Counselor with ongoing professional education requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in PC operation, including Microsoft Office applications

- Experience with genetic counseling in a clinical or laboratory setting
- Familiarity with genetic testing protocols and compliance standards
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to work effectively with local and national teams
- Previous experience in training or supervising genetic counseling students
