- Must be a current student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university with preliminary training in biomedical sciences and lab techniques such as PCR and gel electrophoresis.
- Minimum availability of 10 weeks (June 3 – August 9th)
- Participation in student organizations and/or other leadership experience
- Self-motivated and proactive in learning
- Demonstration of agile mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Our Research and Technology organization is currently seeking a Summer 2024 intern to join the Genomics and Data Sciences Team.
The focus of the intern role is to design and execute next generation sequencing (NGS)-based assays to meet Research needs in Spark. The incumbent will work very closely with a Senior Genomics Scientist and get some exposure to real-world applications of Genomics technologies in settings of gene therapy and drug development. Through the internship, the incumbent will gain firsthand experience with fit- for-purpose experiment design, NGS library preparation, sequencing, preliminary NGS data QC/analysis, and troubleshooting as needed.

The base salary range for this position is currently from $53,700-$80,500
