- Provides support to project team members, including: developing maps, charts, and tables that convey decision-grade information; conducting research; analyzing data; preparing/writing routine reports. This will require the use of tools such as ArcMap, Grapher, and others to develop graphics.
- Collects, performs quality assurance/quality control checks, and uploads groundwater and surface water quality and water level data into database.
- Provides support to the field team with the implementation of field monitoring programs. Field monitoring tasks that may include: recording well information and groundwater-level measurements, or collecting groundwater and surface water samples for laboratory analyses.

LOCATION: Sacramento, CA
GEOLOGIST / SCIENTIST INTERN - GROUNDWATER
West Yost is seeking a talented and motivated student scientist/geologist. Looking for candidates with entry level experience and a desire to begin developing their careers as a geologist / scientist in Southern California. **(Preferred location will be in our Lake Forest Office)**
Duties: Under direction, provide supports to the groundwater team, including but not limited to, with field monitoring programs, data processing and management, and report preparations.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Minimum Qualifications: A desire to explore a career in the water sector and is currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program for geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or civil engineering with a groundwater emphasis. Candidates must have knowledge of geologic and hydrogeologic processes and principles, groundwater chemistry, and aquifer properties.
