- Freshman , Sophomore , Junior, Senior, or Graduate level student majoring in Data Science, Geography, GIS or a related field.
- Preferred knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS tools and applications
- Understanding of data management and data analysis
- None
- A background check including education and criminal history.
- Use existing data and develop new datasets to build applications and dashboards using ArcGIS tools and PowerBI
- Provide reports or analytics to staff for decision-making
- Attend meetings and provide insight into projects
- Complete maps if necessary as provided resources to staff for presentations and reports
- Attention to detail
- Ability/desire to work independently
- Good communications skills
- Familiarity with ESRI Applications
- Understanding of basic data analytics
- Familiarity with database tools and/or SQL
- Understanding of cartographic or graphic design tools

About Denver Water
During the Summer Intern Program, there are THREE (3) REQUIRED ATTENDANCE EVENTS. All interns must participate .
Intern positions do not come with any benefits other than holiday pay (if the employee worked for more than 20 days before the holiday) and Accrued Paid Sick Leave. Interns and Denver Water Temps accrue one hour of Accrued Paid Sick Leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year per the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act .
