      We are looking for G eotechnical Engineering students to be based in the following locations:

      • Tauranga

      • Te Whanganui-a-Tara/ Wellington

      • Ōtautahi / Christchurch

      This role will sit in the Ground & Underground Engineering business unit.

      What is Ground & Underground Engineering at Aurecon?

      Ground & U nderground E ngineering at Aurecon offers a one-stop service for infrastructure projects in the Resources, Transport, Water, Energy, Property, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Construction markets. This business unit i nclude s professionals working in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geohydrology, rock engineering, marine engineering, materials and pavement design, contamination studies, earthquake engineering and specialist monitoring.

      What are we looking for from you ?

      You'll be ready to make an impact. You will be studying towards a formal qualification and be in either your 2 nd or 3 rd year of study. You will need to have the ability to work on a full-time basis from November 2023 until February 2024.

      We' ll ne ed you to be studying towards any of these degrees: Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) or Mas ters le vel qualification with Geotechnical specialisation.

      You would have studied or are studying following subjects or areas of focus:

      • Geotechnical Analysis

      • Slope Engineering

      • Ground Improvements and Geosynthetics Engineering

      • Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering

      • Advanced Geotechnical Engineering

      • Introduction to Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering

      • Advanced Geotechnical Engineering

      And you will bring:

      • Passion for changing the way we deliver carbon neutrality and sustainability in everything we do.

      • Ability to initiate and build relationships with both your peers and clients to push forward the boundaries of what is possible.

      • Enthusiasm for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future.

      How to Apply

      Step 1: Application Form

      The first step off the application process is an online form which will take approximately 10 - 15 minutes to complete. Please be ready to attach you resume, cover letter and transcript. We will ask you to identify the teams you are most interested in, so please take time to explore our website as this will determine who you engage with through the recruitment process.

      Step 2: Online Assessment

      This step should take up to 1 hour to complete and requires a mix of written and video responses. Please make sure you are in a quiet, well-lit area with a strong internet connection before you start the assessment. During this stage we love to see your passions and motivations in your video responses.

      Step 3: Interview

      If you are selected to progress to the final stage you will be invited for an interview in person or virtually, depending on locations. After the interview process has concluded offers to the successful candidates will be made and contracts issued.
