Manage, analyze, and maintain geospatial datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and alignment with organizational needs.
Conduct spatial analyses to support operational decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Design and develop interactive web applications through ArcGIS Enterprise Portal by collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and create tailored GIS solutions.
Create high-quality maps, dashboards, and reports to visualize complex spatial data effectively.
Coordinate updates to the Airport Layout Plan, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with FAA standards and accuracy of spatial data.
Update and modify existing layers within Test, Development, and Production geodatabase environments to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Leverage automation tools such as FME, Python, and Arcade expressions to streamline GIS workflows, enhance data processing, and ensure compliance with IT and GIS standards.
Manage and execute smaller geospatial projects from planning to implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
Integrate GIS with enterprise systems and applications to enhance data accessibility and workflow automation.
Collaborate with various departments to identify GIS requirements and provide innovative solutions.
Assist in administering GIS platforms, including user management, troubleshooting, and system updates.
Ensure compliance with FAA, GIS, and IT standards, data governance policies, and best practices.
Stay current with emerging GIS technologies and trends to enhance system capabilities.
Work with internal teams to develop GIS solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data management.
Conduct complex spatial analyses to identify trends, support business initiatives, and inform strategic planning.
Assist in integrating GIS technology with enterprise applications to improve workflow automation and decision-making processes.
Support and mentor entry-level team members by sharing knowledge, best practices, and assisting with problem-solving.
Provide technical guidance and GIS training to staff and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience evaluating existing policies, procedures, and objectives, and recommending changes for improvement.
Experience with the Esri software suite (e.g. ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Pro, Esri Enterprise, etc.).
Familiarity with Autodesk products (Civil 3D, AutoCAD) is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of FAA regulations and airport operations is desired, but not required.
Experience with large-scale infrastructure is desired, but not required
Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering, GIS, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cartography, Landscape Architecture, Remote Sensing or a related field.
Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of hands-on experience at the type and level of a GIS Technician.
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.License/Certifications: None

What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $58,656.00 - $96,782.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:
Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work 3 days onsite at the Denver International Airport. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
Who We Are & What You’ll Do
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst is responsible for supporting geospatial technologies at Denver International Airport by managing and analyzing spatial data, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining GIS infrastructure. They play a key role in processing and maintaining geospatial datasets, contributing to the development and optimization of ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Indoors, and ArcGIS Online. This position supports all airport divisions by maintaining spatial geodatabases and assisting in the integration of GIS solutions with critical airport systems.
