What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, maintain, implement, and convert cartographic and planimetric data for GIS applications
- Create visual representations of geospatial data using analytical modeling and three-dimensional renderings
- Prepare maps, graphics, and data products for quality assurance and customer service requests
- Document, design, code, or test GIS models and internet mapping solutions
- Conduct or coordinate research and data analysis for GIS or GPS mapping software
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Landscape Architecture, Natural Resources Management, Civil Engineering, Geography, or Computer Sciences
- Minimum of three years of experience in a GIS environment, including programming and systems analysis
- Experience with GIS software implementations and system integration
- Proficiency in projections, coordinate systems, and survey-grade GPS data correction
- Valid driver’s license at the time of application and a valid Colorado driver’s license at the time of hire
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Successful completion of courses in drafting or surveying
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and AutoCAD
