Job Description

- Maintain trail data and optimize it for use in web and mobile applications Conduct map styling activities across multiple form factors
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Digital User Experience team
- Create visualizations for business analysis at the executive level
- Design map editor enhancements
- Propose new ways to leverage spatial data, conduct proof of concept activities Lead the identification and implementation of next-gen GIS platforms
- Supports senior technical team in driving cross-functional processes and projects
- 4 year degree in GIS or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of progressive GIS experience
- Solid experience with spatial analysis tools, preferably Esri
- Ability to use Python or other scripting languages to automate frequently performed tasks
- Experience working with variety of vector and raster datasets from multiple sources
- Experience with multiple database technologies (NoSQL & relational)
- Exposure to Agile tools (ex: Jira) .NET Web/mobile development experience
- Ability to develop relationships and collaborate and contribute with your immediate supervisor and team members
- Proven success in working under minimum guidance, ability to prioritize work and self-starter
- Brings a strong functional and technical aptitude
- Is a self-starter who thrives on solving complex problems and challenging the status quo
- Has a quality-first approach to systems development
- Is a strong communicator, motivator and relationship-builder Can easily convert plans and goals into manageable tasks Has a deep understanding of Agile values and principles

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Polaris Ride Command team builds feature-rich connected rider solutions that enhance all aspects of the powersports experience. Our goal is to continually leverage the best people, process and technology to deliver solutions that differentiate Polaris and fuel the passion of powersports enthusiasts.
We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on GIS Analyst. In this role, you will work with technologists who develop and support a full-stack ecosystem including backend services, web portals and mobile applications. You’ll also interact with a broad spectrum of non-technical stakeholders. Interest in powersports is a big plus and there will be many opportunities to ride!

The pay rate for Minnesota is $62,500 per year.
