      Job Title: GIS Specialist at Trihydro Corporation

      Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

      Job Summary:
      Trihydro Corporation is seeking a GIS Specialist to join our Closed Facilities team at one of our office locations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support a wide range of environmental remediation and planning projects through advanced geospatial data analysis and mapping. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in GIS with technical skills in remote sensing, data visualization, spatial data management, and geospatial analysis. The ideal candidate is an early career professional who can apply their advanced GIS expertise in a collaborative environment to solve complex environmental challenges.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Support spatial data development, geoprocessing workflows, and spatial analysis for environmental and planning projects.
      • Assist with field data collection using GPS and mobile data tools such as ArcGIS Field Maps.
      • Develop maps, web applications, and visualizations for technical reporting and client presentations.
      • Perform QA/QC of spatial data and support database management efforts.
      • Collaborate with project teams to integrate GIS into permitting, planning, and resource management strategies.
      • Conduct remote sensing analysis and contribute to project research using tools such as Google Earth Engine.
      • Provide technical documentation and maintain metadata standards for geospatial deliverables.
      • Participate in training and mentoring programs to build technical and project experience.

      Qualifications:

      • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Geographic Information Systems, Environmental Science, Geomatics or related field is required. A Master's degree or advanced GIS certification is preferred.
      • Experience: 2-5 years of professional or academic experience in GIS analysis, processing, and application in environmental remediation, planning or related areas. Demonstrated experience in leading GIS projects and teams.
      • Technical Skills: Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and tools, spatial analysis techniques, database management, and programming languages such as Python, SQL or R. Strong skills in remote sensing, cartography, and spatial data visualization.
      • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex GIS projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
      • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams. Ability to present complex GIS data and analysis in a clear and understandable manner.
      • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
      • Fieldwork: Ability to conduct fieldwork to support data collection and validation of spatial data.
      • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
      • Safety: Commitment to safe operations and maintaining an acceptable driving record.

      The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

      Summary pay range: $64,000 - $70,000

      This position will remain open until a qualified candidate has been selected.
