What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct fieldwork with a partner
- Use field instruments to collect data such as GPS and tablets
- Maintain organized records of data collected in the field
- Communicate with office and trades staff regarding collected features
- Review field-collected data in ArcPro
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing
- Taken at least one GIS Course
- Interest in GIS and Field Work
- Interest in utilities and grounds work
- Ability to work outside for most of the workday
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- ArcGIS (ArcPro and ArcGIS Online) experience
- Previous fieldwork experience
- Taken several GIS courses and Remote Sensing at UW Madison or other accredited institutions of higher education
- Experience with field collecting instruments
- Knowledge of GPS and GIS
