      About the Role

      Reporting to the Senior Manager of Ontario Parcel, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of various GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and mapping workflows.

      Location: 123 Front Street

      Salary: $34.19/hr - $49.47hr

      What You’ll Be Doing

      • Perform map maintenance on various Teranet map products, using CAD/GIS software.

      • Receive, process, quality control, correct (if required) and commit CAD map files to Teranet’s GIS database.

      • Keep accurate and complete process logs.

      • Perform database corrections as defined by Teranet’s database quality control staff.

      • Generate and supply Teranet map products as required for plotting, maintenance, delivery etc.

      • Construct Teranet map products.

      • Provide client support services pertaining to Teranet map products.

      • Extract, quality control, and deliver data (title and mapping) to various municipal and corporate clients.

      • Communicate with clients regarding clarification of maintenance requests and database/delivery issues.

      • Perform other tasks as required.

      About You

      • Must have minimum College certificate or diploma in GIS or equivalent.

      • Excellent computer literacy.

      • Extensive knowledge of Esri’s Canadian Data Parcel Model.

      • Extensive knowledge of POLARIS mapping products.

      • Ability to interpret property legal descriptions and survey plans

      • Strong knowledge of various GIS and CAD software packages (ArcMap; MicroStation, GeoMedia, etc).

      • Working knowledge of SQL, MS Office.

      • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

      • Strong decision making skills.

      • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
