  JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  Glazing Essilor lenses to the specified standards to meet agreed KPI targets whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

  AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES

  • Verification of all lenses against ISO aspect standards
  • Prioristing specific work against customer delivery service schedules
  • Tracing all frames and blocking lenses to customer requirements and ISO standards
  • Edging and assembly of all frames on all edger machines to specific customer requirements
  • Final inspection of all finished spectatcles against customer requirements and specification and within ISO standards
  • Cleaning of all chillers fitters and tanks
  • Understanding AS400 and rejecting incorrect orders to restart the process and flagging P&A orders into Customer Service holding. Completing query pads correctly on orders and flagging into custoemr service holding area on AS400
  • To liaise with senior laboratory daily takss are completed
  • Completing dipsatch function when required
  • Maintain good housekeeping within the workplace
  • To provide out of hours support for Saturday production and early cleaning fitters as required

  • Work in line with duty of care to self/others and ensure H&s guidelines are followed in line with company policy
  • Protect the H&S of visitors/contractors/external providers on site and ensure relevant guidelines are met
  • Bring attention to hazards, risks, concerns, accidents or near misses
  • Comply with any local PPE requirements
  • Work in line with environment and energy policies
  • Ensure visitors/contractors/external providers meet relevant environment procedures while on site
  • Bring attention to environment hazards, risks and concerns

  TECHNICAL SKILLS

  Essential:

  • Excellent knowledge of glazing and edging equipment
  • Good communication skills

  Desirable:

  • Rimless glazing experience
  • Optical knowledge
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
