      Barilla International is looking for a Global Digital Content and Social Media Manager to lead the social media content creation and editorial plan for Barilla global channels Pasta and Condiments.

      The successful candidate will lead the development and the production of the social media assets, the global editorial plans and the global channel strategy, accordingly to the global content strategy for all global channels for Pasta and Condiments.

      The Global Digital Content and Social Media Manager will be responsible for growing the engagement of the Barilla global channels and nourishing the iconicity of the Brand, test learn and optimize the content through the Barilla tools and the learnings from the Analytics&insight Team in London, liaising with main digital platforms (i.e. Meta, Google, Tiktok), measuring and securing the return of the paid media assets.

      This will involve providing insights and inputs about media, leading relationships with digital and creative agencies, proposing content in line with our global content strategy, supporting the management of regional initiatives, and working in strict collaboration with the Global Equity team and the Analytics and insight Team.

      The candidate will also be responsible for cascading the global content strategy and editorial plans to regions/countries, building the consistency and the equity of Barilla brand accordingly to specific KPIs (i.e. engagement rate and earned media).

      What you’ll be doing

      • In alignment with the Global Content Strategy directly, manage the creation and the production of the content and the editorial plans for Global social media channels, leading the relationship with external agency partners.

      • Lead external agencies to guarantee their end-to-end project management, including timing, quality, and assigned budget, to maximize productivity, projects, and initiatives developed with a set number of resources.

      • Responsible for the Global channel strategy, assessing the role of each channel, exploring the development of the Global channels and making sure that content are native and effective accordingly to the platforms.

      • Build the Global editorial plans integrating the digital legs of the Brand and products campaigns, the initiatives from the Global Digital.

      • Experience Team (i.e. real time content, community management, recipes) and the Global PR team.

      • Test, learn and optimize the content of the editorial plan effectively using the learnings from the Barilla tools and liaising with digital global partners (e.g. Google, Meta, TT).

      • Securing the efficient global digital media budget allocation to support efficiently and effectively paid content.

      • Responsible to provide on a regular basis the reports and the analysis of the performance of Global channel content in partnership with internal Barilla functions (i.e. Observatory) and external Partners (i.e. communication agencies and digital platforms).

      • Coordinate local social media editorial plans making sure the global content are cascaded properly and provide guidance about the correct implementation for the Global Content Strategy when it is about the creation of local content. This includes oversee local social media channels and provide guidelines for customization of content to local needs, ensuring a coherent brand image.

      • Work in partnership with external agencies partners to select influencers and content creators to build content for the Global editorial plan. Support markets for local influencers activation and content creation.

      • Work with our media agency to drive media campaigns that are aligned with our marketing strategies and objectives, using an innovative and digital-driven mindset.

      • Stay curious and scout for new communication and digital marketing trends.

      • Support the Global Brand PR team in managing influencer campaigns.

      • Encourage the adoption of analytics and measurement tools provided by the Analytics & Insight team in London, helping them deliver data and insights reports, best practices, and lessons learned.

      Your recipe for success

      • Degree qualified with a solid communication and digital and social media background and a wide range of digital capabilities.

      • Minimum 7 years of work experience, with Global or multi country responsibility, preferably within FMCG, in globally recognized companies and/or digital agencies or digital departments within advertising agencies.

      • Project management: have a track record of designing and managing innovative projects in digital marketing and social media management.

      • Experience and deep understanding of digital paid media landscape, planning and campaign management

      • Founders’ mentality with a passion for best in class advertising.

      • Team player: comfortable working in a complex global, matrix environment and enjoying building new relationships and collaboration to make things happen.

      • Strong understanding of the social media landscape and its evolution.

      • Proven experience in budget management and investment in media and production.

      • Proficient with digital marketing measurement & performance analysis.

      • Excellent communication, with a talent for proofreading and communicating complex messages through inspiring and accessible media tools.

      • Excellent English mandatory.

      • The position reports to the Global Digital Associate Director in the Global Brand Equity Team (located in Amsterdam).

      • Our office is in Amsterdam. We offer hybrid working as a mix of remotely and from the office.

      • The expected starting date is as soon as possible by June 2025, with a full-time permanent contract.
