      As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Program Manager in Global Real Estate, you will be responsible to perform corporate EHS governance to third party facility service provider teams and internal stakeholder clients for the overall management of corporate EHS policies, procedures, metrics tracking, regulatory EHS audits, and corporate environmental Due Diligence programs for the firms’ commercial, data centers, and retail building portfolios globally.

      The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, education, and overall strategic management of the company’s environmental management system and initiatives related the firms EHS risk tolerance.

      The EHS Program Manager will assist with implementation, review, and monitoring of proactive healthy building initiative and provide technical regulatory guidance/advice to the site staff, and senior management on EHS policy; regulatory development matters; risk management and functions of Environmental, Health, and Safety.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Develop and implement effective safety and environmental programs globally across the JPMorgan Chase portfolio.
      • Govern and foster EHS audit compliance through environmental performance standards to validate findings and implement corrective actions.
      • Develop, implement, and update Corporate EHS policies and procedure departmental playbooks to promote regulatory compliance, liability risk control, and program continuity.
      • Assist management with firms contaminated properties remediation projects portfolio, as well as implementation, review, and monitoring of proactive health building initiative.
      • Assist management and facility partners in conducting job hazard analysis and equipment risk assessments.
      • Act as company liaison for EHS regulatory interface, correspondence submittals, and regulatory fine(s) violation negotiations.
      • Interface with Corporate Engineering on building HVAC system(s) operations impacting Indoor Air Quality and other building energy/sustainability initiatives to ensure EHS compliance.
      • Monitor, track and report key EHS Metrics through Environmental System Tools.
      • Provide governance to 3rd party facility service provider EHS teams on EHS matters requiring escalation to JPMorgan Chase Global Real Estate EHS.
      • Assist Design and Construction teams with Environmental Permit requirements and review.
      • Responsible for Global Real Estate EHS Regulatory Compliance Management; to include end-user management of Environmental Information Management System (EMIS) database repository
      • Responsible for Global Real Estate Property Environmental Due Diligence program management; Phase I - Phase II review, recommendations

      Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental discipline (e.g. geology, chemistry, environmental/civil/chemical engineering, geochemistry, toxicology, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or related field) with professional certifications appropriate to the field.
      • Minimum 5+ years EHS experience with at least 2 years’ experience in environmental regulatory programs.
      • Knowledge of ANSI/ASHRAE (62.2) Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality and ASTM (E2681-13) Underground Storage Tank and ASTM (E1528-13)
      • Strong knowledge of Federal, State and Local safety and environmental laws and regulations. (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc., and other applicable local requirements)
      • The ability to read and develop a solid understanding and interpretation of EHS regulations
      • Strong interpersonal communication and team player skills
      • Effective negotiation skills
      • Proficiency in technical writing
      • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~25-30%)
      • Working knowledge and end-user use of EHS Regulatory Compliance Review Software to support audit functions requirements.
      • Demonstrated understanding of Federal, State, and local, Environmental, Health and Safety laws and the ability to identify and evaluate workplace hazards and environmental requirements.
