      This position can work a hybrid schedule of 2 days remote and 3 days at our Chestnut Ridge, NY office.

      Job Summary:

      The Sr. Analyst, Trade Compliance will support compliant export and import transactions for Teledyne LeCroy in Chestnut Ridge, NY. A successful candidate for this role will have practical experience managing export and import trade requirements to support business needs and a strong communicator / collaborator. This function will work in all areas of the day-to-day aspects of trade compliance. The role will manage a variety of complex import and export issues which may require in depth analysis of shipping documents, end use certifications, applicable trade regulations and transaction data. The job requires exercise of sound judgment to support effective and compliant trade.

      Job Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Manage trade compliance functions in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and other applicable trade regulations and Teledyne Technologies corporate trade compliance policies and procedures.

      • Prepare and submit export license applications and other authorization requests to appropriate US Government (USG) regulatory agencies. Ensure compliance with all license conditions, recordkeeping and reporting requirements.

      • Support accurate product classifications, perform denied party screening, proliferation and diversion screening, technology transfer review and deemed export risk.

      • Support management accountability, audits, and responsibility for trade compliance.

      • Establish and maintain local trade compliance policies and procedures.

      • Create export documentation, initiate anti-boycott reporting, manage recordkeeping, complete audit and self-assessment requirements and training activities.

      • Review technology transfers for license requirements to include marketing materials, proposals and engineering data, and develop and maintain technology transfer processes in accordance with regulatory and license requirements.

      • Conduct regular compliance training for senior management, engineers, scientists, shipping, sales and marketing and other functions involved in importing/exporting hardware and/or technology.

      • Assist with trade compliance investigations related to non-compliance with import/export laws, regulations and/or Teledyne policies.

      • Support Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, country of origin, valuation, and other customs issues when needed.

      • Communicate with LeCroy businesses outside the United States to facilitate export and import processes.

      • Communicate effectively with multiple functional areas including management, supply chain, shipping, engineering, finance, and IT.

      • Attend the Corporate International Trade Compliance annual conference and attend external third-party import and export training conferences as required.

      Job Qualifications:

      • 4-6+ years of U.S. regulatory trade compliance experience supporting exports and imports.

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

      • Knowledge and experience with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. Customs Regulations, Foreign Trade Regulations (15 CFR Part 30), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and familiarity with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

      • Experience with implementing and adhering to trade compliance processes designed to comply with government regulations and company policies.

      • Excellent writing skills for reports, business correspondence, work instructions and procedures.

      • Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.

      • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and proactive in management of projects and tasks.

      • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment with minimal day-to-day supervision.

      • Good computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems, OCR Ease, Salesforce, etc.)

      • Potential for a limited amount of domestic travel as needed.

      • Must be a U.S. person as defined in relevant U.S. import/export laws.


      Salary Range:

      $93,500.00 - $156,200.00
