      This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite three times per week, at minimum.

      The GM Energy - Software Delivery Manager will drive the execution and launch of software platforms and services that support various energy management products. Key examples are the cloud data management platform and mobile app that enable the home energy management systems (HEMS) for our residential customers. The individual in this role will collaborate with business, engineering, and various technical software teams to develop, test and launch these software enablers. This individual will also support the operations and quality of in-market programs through identification and prioritization of technical issues into the appropriate teams and driving those issues to resolution.

      This role is a technical project management position. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing and deploying products and services leveraging software processes and frameworks. This individual must be experienced coordinating work and priorities across multiple teams and disciplines. The ideal candidate will also have a technical background with the ability to lead discussions related to problem triaging and issue resolution across the connected vehicle ecosystem.

      Major Duties/Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate with GM Energy sales and product teams to understand and provide input to the product roadmap, sales pipeline, timing and commitments
      • Collaborate with technical teams to set priorities and timing for tasks related to utility program test activities and launches
      • Organize and supervise the implementation of features and functionality across various development teams to ensure requirements and implementation alignment
      • Understand product basics to help identify and engage relevant enterprise processes and tools and identify intersects with other energy products
      • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver utility programs on time with quality
      • Facilitate communications between business and Engineering and various software development technical teams to ensure aligned understanding, clear requirements, and integrate execution plans
      • Lead the definition, planning, and execution of key integration test events to ensure alignment across several platforms and technical teams
      • Manage & maintain clear status of each program and provide clear communication of status to appropriate leadership on an ongoing basis

      Additional Job Description

      Required Education and Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or related experience
      • 5+ years of experience with software applications, technology solution development and delivery
      • Solid background in delivering projects on time with quality
      • Proficient experience in communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
      • Proficient knowledge in aligning deliverables across multiple teams
      • Proficient experience in tracking project/program status, including active management of risks, issues and escalations
      • Proficient knowledge of energy management systems & services and/or energy sector
      • Demonstrated knowledge in multiple software development disciplines (i.e. Agile, Scrum, etc.)

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture and electronic control unit systems
      • Knowledge of utility system such as DMS, DRMS, DERMS
      • Knowledge of and experience with the Global Vehicle Development Process

      Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

      • The salary range for this role is ($93,400 - $149,200). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
      • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
