  GN Operator Associate I (FOAMS Extrusion)

  Available shifts: TBD

  Operator Compensation:

  • Starting rate $17-$22 / hour

  Responsibilities

  Operate GN machine and package products at standard speed with correct manning.

  Quality: Perform product attribute tests, complete hour by hour sheets, and ensure proper count. Support plant food product safety management programs, initiatives and objectives.

  Maintain housekeeping: Maintain clean work area throughout the shift. Follow 5S guidelines.

  Reclaim Handling: Remove scrap from line and grind in correct grinder.

  Work Safely: Follow all safety rules and wear PPE.

  Support the team: Be flexible, help others, active learner, and ask questions.

  Training: Mentor and train new employees. Accept feedback from Team members and continue self-development.

  Other responsibilities include:

  Providing support for the manufacturing team by inspecting product for defects and packing finished goods into correct configuration

  Notifying your supervisor of quality issues as they arise.

  Making minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.

  Maintaining good housekeeping practices, able to work safely in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

  Completing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

  Qualifications

  Qualifications:

  · Manual Dexterity

  · Have complete GN Operator Training packet

  · Excellent communication skills

  · Detailed record keeping per the prescribed frequency

  · Hand/eye coordination

  · Analytical skills

  · Math skills (calculators to determine and record production data)
