      Responsibilities

      • Assist nursing staff with completion of resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other basic needs
      • Perform vital signs on residents at beginning of each shift and as directed
      • Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in resident’s behavior, emotional state, or physical condition
      • Complete required documentation in a timely manner
      • Assist in transporting residents as needed
      • Provide companionship to residents
      • Ensure the safety of our residents
      • Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engaged
      • Maintain a clean and healthy environment

      Qualifications

      • Must hold a current certification and GNA license in Maryland
      • Must possess a positive and professional attitude
      • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
      • Previous experience working in an skilled nursing facility is a plus
      • Ability to communicate effectively
      • Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents
      • Ability to listen attentively is essential
      • Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
      • A willingness to navigate changes in assignments
      • Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level
