Job Description

- Maintains an exceptional golf experience for members and guests
- Takes starting times and legibly enter daily tee sheet or in the computer
- Sign up golfers and take greens and cart fees
- Sell golf merchandise
- Control play going on the course when the starter is not being used
- Provide all pertinent information to the golfer concerning the day’s conditions of play (e.g. carts on paths, golf course work) and directions on where they are going
- Responsible for financial records and accounting functions necessary to open and close and comply with administrative needs
- When not busy at the counter, help police the area and restock the counters with merchandise and help sell golf merchandise
- Sell Sunriver Lodge and Resort’s other facilities (restaurant, lodging) and other recreational outlets at every opportunity
- Develop an atmosphere of professional friendliness and act as a representative of Sunriver to the public
- Recognize the guest as soon as they enter the golf shop
- Comply with all Sunriver policies, procedures and safety regulations
- Comply with Sunriver grooming and uniform policy
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school education or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of the game of golf required
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of Sunriver Resort and Central Oregon
- Good Telephone skills
- Ability to handle computer systems such as P.O.S
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must have a valid Oregon drivers license and meet company driving standards
- Must have excellent public relation skills
- Must have basic understand of retailing and merchandising
- Must have strong computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, cold, sun & heat);
- Must be able to stand & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces;
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs and very occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance;
- Must be able to have frequent contact with fertilizers & pesticides;
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & twist on an occasional basis;
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, overhead reaching and fine manipulation occasionally.
Overview
Join our team at Sunriver Resort as a Golf Shop Attendant! This role is perfect for golf enthusiasts who enjoy providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Golf Shop Attendant will handle financial transactions for golfers on golf course, including merchandise sales. They will answer telephones, schedule tee times, and handles questions relating to golf. They will play an integral role in membership retention. The Golf Shop Attendant will maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards.
The Golf Shop Attendant will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort:Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Golf Shop Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.
