      Role Description

      The Senior Engineer designs and implements technical solutions and configures applications in different environments in response to business problems. With the partial/ full ownership of Production platforms, Senior Engineer is required to ensure environment stability, expeditious and timely resolution of Production issues, ensuring minimal downtimes and continuity of services. Further the Senior Engineer investigates, proposes and implements various solutions, standardizing where possible, to ensures stability and reliability of the application platforms. The person performing the role may lead delivery of other members of the team and controls their work where applicable.

      Your key responsibilities :

      • Design and develop new functionality
      • Working with the team on functional and non-functional requirements, technical analysis and design
      • Coding and testing, reviewing other team member’s changes. Unit test automation of new and existing functionality for maximum code coverage.
      • Document business and functional requirements, design decisions and API
      • Co-working with QA team on test automation of new and existing functionality
      • Contribute to the definition of the future state of the system architecture.
      • Contribute to third party product customization.
      • Able to manage a small team to mentor them for development and delivery

      Your skills and experience

      • 8 to 15 years of proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform
      • Strong handson experience in developing micro-service based applications
      • Strong experience in building cloud-native applications on GCP.
      • Strong Experience in deploying applications in Kubernetes Engine
      • Handson Knowledge of Github, Github Actions, Terraform
      • Experience with GCP Security, IAM Roles, key rotation, networking, VPC, InterConnect
      • Experience on GCP Apigee.
      • Exposure to GCP Monitoring, Observability, SRE
      • Knowledge on Multi-region deployment, Cost Optimization
      • Knowledge on Anthos Service Mesh, Istio, mTLS would be preferred
      • Good Experience in Oracle/Postgress
      • Exposure to Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring Data JPA, Spring Integration & Batch

      • Defines and implements best practices, solutions and standards related to their area of expertise.
      • Demonstrates thought leadership through seeking out opportunities to shape the agenda with Regulators, Government Departments and Professional bodies.
      • Actively and extensively contribute to the architectural decisions around GCP for the OTC project.
      • Work with architects to finalize technology stacks and architecture patterns.
      • Develop the POCs which would highlight the pros and cons for the architectural decisions to be taken.
      • Actively handson with the code to migrate the existing OTC project onto GCP.
      • Actively participate in code reviews and pair programming.
      • Solve issues collaboratively with the team.
      • Cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders and clients by articulating the contribution, commercial impact and benefits of expert roles.

      Education/certification:

      • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent) – with a minor in Finance, Mathematics or Engineering preferred.
