Essential Job Functions:

• Act as a primary customer service agent for the Gourmet Foods Department.
• Care for and maintain all equipment and workspace used.
• Skillfully slice and package meats and cheeses.
• Properly weigh out items for packaging and labeling.
• Maintain a clean and organized gourmet food display case.
• Understand and fulfill functions detailed in operational checklists.
• Receive and put away orders.

Essential Requirements:

• Food service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexible availability.
• Willingness to ask questions and continually learn about our store and our industry.
• Must present a favorable image of Pilgrim’s Market through contacts with customers, vendors, co-workers, other business associates and the general public.
• Strong work ethic.

• Must be able to safely handle common allergens including (but not limited to) nuts, peanuts, seafood, shellfish, wheat, and dairy.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. repeatedly.
• Ability to work on your feet for the entire shift.
• Ability to conduct repeated overhead lifting.
• Operate (at minimum) the following equipment in a correct and safe manner: Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Telephone and intercom system. PLUM Scale, knives, heat sealer, two-wheeler.
