What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the execution of state and federal advocacy programs for the employer and its affiliates
- Coordinate communication between external associations and internal engagement partners
- Manage systems and structures within the Government and Public Affairs team
- Analyze public policy issues and communicate their impacts on health services
- Provide counsel and engage with internal/external audiences on priority policy matters
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, Business, Communications, Government, or Health Administration
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in legislative or regulatory activities, health administration, or legal research; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiarity with governmental processes and governmental relations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in advocacy or lobbying efforts related to healthcare policy
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance issues
- Strong analytical and communication skills to convey complex policy information effectively
- Previous experience working with public or private sector stakeholders
