      Your role at Clorox:

      The Manager of Government Affairs will be responsible for supporting the Government Affairs function on legislative and regulatory policy issues impacting Clorox products and operations. The role will analyze broad governmental policies, handle our engagement programs, and develop internal communications within the Government Affairs department; encouraging cohesion and alignment across the organization.

      The position is part of the Government Affairs team and will work closely with various external organizations and internal departments, including Research & Development and Global Stewardship. The position will report directly to the Government Affairs Director.

      In this role, you will:

      • Analyze and recommend actions on state and federal governmental policies impacting Clorox brand and manufacturing operations
      • Identify emerging policy trends and issues that cross departments (and products), as appropriate.
      • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key public policy makers at all levels, including coordinating facility tours and other face-to-face meetings.
      • Support the Supply Chain organization on manufacturing issues, including in-state support for plants and facility operations.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, agencies, and industry associations.
      • Prepare and deliver reports and other communications to internal and external audiences. This includes quarterly reports, issues reports, and department presentations.
      • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for government affairs activities, including lobbying and disclosure reports.

      What we look for:

      Experience

      • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in government affairs, public affairs, community relations, or related fields.
      • Experience with compliance related to government relations activities.

      Skills

      • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.

      Education

      • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

      Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100
      Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300
      Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

      This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
