      This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employee's position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Duluth, MN.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Provide critical support for the tracking of government funding opportunities, facilitating application processes and documentation, and compliance with grant requirements.
      • Must be adept at proactively suggesting process enhancements, demonstrating creative problem-solving skills, and collaborating cross-functionally.
      • Support the administration, maintenance, and improvement of tracking systems for the documentation of various government funding opportunities and related application efforts.
      • Assist in coordinating application team meetings, tracking of outstanding application content, and ensuring the comprehensive collection of required forms and documentation.
      • Establish and maintain credentials with required systems and portals including, but not limited to, grants.gov, FedConnect, and eXchange, developing skills in navigating within specialized platforms.
      • Assist in the development and refinements of compliance processes and procedures, participating in the education of the appropriate departments on required compliance and contributing to the establishment and monitoring of processes to ensure ongoing adherence to compliance standards.
      • Participate in the collective review of application drafts, compliance reports, and the finalization of documents for submission demonstrating an eye for detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
      • Initiate requests to support the set-up application of collaboration sites (i.e., Teams sites) and external access for consultants, streamlining collaboration efforts.
      • Assist with internal governance and approval processes ensuring alignment with Company standards and best practices within the government funding and grant application area.

      REQUIRED EDUCATION:

      • Bachelor’s degree required.

      REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

      • No experience required.

      SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

      • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
      • Requires close attention to details, organization, and ability to operate under tight timelines.
      • Effective communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationships and clear supply chain communication required
