      This Opportunity

      WSP is currently initiating a search for a Government Relations Coordinator for our Seattle, WA office. Be involved in projects with our Pacific Mountain West Advisory Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

      Your Impact
      • Create agendas and produce notes for legislative meetings
      • Prepare talking points as requested
      • Attend virtual and in-person external project, agency, and legislative meetings to provide support
      • Work with legislative staff and others to schedule and coordinate meetings as requested
      • Interact in a clear and concise manner with a variety of diverse audiences
      • Performs other duties as assigned or required by WSP USA Inc. and our clients
      Who You Are

      Required Qualifications

      • 1-3 years of experience in communications and government relations
      • Bachelor's Degree or in communications, public relations, global studies, or a related field
      • Experience working with public agencies
      • Ability to work well with the public and interact effectively with all organizational levels, including agency staff, senior management, executive leadership, board members, community leaders, and city/county/state representatives
      • Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills
      • Ability to work independently and interdependently
      • Ability to work beyond standard business hours
      • Strong time management skills and high attention to detail
      • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience working in government relations support roles
      • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
      • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
      • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

      Compensation:

      Expected Salary (all locations): $57,400-$94,710

      WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
