With a long-standing reputation for quality craftsmanship, safety, and customer service, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Ship Superintendent to join our team.

      About the Role:

      The Gov't Ship Superintendent is responsible for managing vessel repairs and upgrades while acting as the primary liaison between the shipyard, port engineers, customers, and project teams. This role requires excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with a strong understanding of shipyard operations and repair processes.


      Key Responsibilities:

      • Lead day-to-day operations for assigned vessels and ensure timely completion of all work.

      • Coordinate workflow and scheduling between trade departments and project stakeholders.

      • Plan and supervise work packages, change orders, inspections, and documentation.

      • Interface with port engineers, quality control, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.

      • Oversee labor performance and subcontractor activities to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.

      • Monitor materials and job progress, providing daily updates and progress reports.

      • Address safety, environmental, and operational concerns proactively.

      • Ensure timely billing, invoicing accuracy, and contract compliance.

      • Participate in project meetings, client walkthroughs, and safety audits.

      Qualifications:

      • 5+ years shipyard or marine experience (supervisory/project lead preferred)

      • Strong organizational and leadership skills

      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

      • Ability to read blueprints and technical specs

      • U.S. Citizenship required
