Job summary
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic GPA / HCA to join our practice team in August or September 2024. Health Care Assistants have long been an integral part of primary care teams, and as part of the wider team in general practice, General Practice Assistants provide a support role, carrying out administrative tasks combined with basic clinical duties. They can help to free up GP time and contribute to the smooth running of appointments, improving patient experience in the surgery.
The successful candidate will be a member of our Nursing Team. Their main focus will be offering a range of healthcare screening services, supporting all clinicians in their day-to-day management of patients, specifically aimed at reducing any administrative burden, making best use of consultation time, and supporting those particularly vulnerable.This a brand-new service so will require a degree of flexibility and a range of duties that may vary as the service develops. Our main objectives through this role is to improve patient access and the timeliness of appointments and additional services, as well as to release highly qualified staff to concentrate on treating and managing patients with more complex conditions.

Based in Old Trafford, Limelight Health & Well-being Hub is a larger GP surgery offering NHS primary care services to patients living in M15 & M16 postcodes. We are located onthe first floor of a purpose-built community centre called Limelight, and we are committed to addressing the health inequalities that are prevalent in the area that we serve.
Our clinical team is comprised of GPs, Nurses, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, a Community Paramedic, an Assistant Practitioner, and a First Contact Physiotherapist. We also have Social Prescribers and a Care Coordinator, a Medicines Management Team, a Reception Team, a wider Administrative Team, and a Management Team. Finally, we are a training practice, and we are pleased to have trainees from the wider medical, GP, nursing, and pharmacist training pathways joining the team throughout the year.
