Job Description

- Opening up/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system
- Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations, and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
- Taking messages and passing on information
- Filing and retrieving paperwork

Job summary
Bramcote Surgery is a friendly, two partner GP practice with approximately 3,800 patients. Having obtained an Outstanding rating with the Clinical Quality Commission, we are committed to providing patient-centred care in a happy, supportive and well-organised working environment.
We are looking to recruit a new Receptionist to our team. The ideal candidate will be reliable with a flexible can do attitude to work, and must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. They will be highly motivated and able to work under pressure to deadlines. The ability to prioritise workloads and communicate with all staff groups is required. Along with excellent keyboard skills and accurate data collection & entry, a keen eye for detail is essential. A medical background is preferable but not necessary as full training will be given.
16 hours with opportunity for over-time as when needed.
Hourly pay rate is negotiable for the right candidate.
We ideally need cover over 3 days as a minimum.

The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practice administration team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Reception Manager/Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels:

Bramcote Surgery is a small but very friendly team set in the heart of Bramcote Village. We have 2 GP partners, a salaried GP, two practice nurses and 2 HCA's. Our admin team is led by our Practice & Reception Managers and comprises of 4 multi-skilled and very friendly admin/receptionists. We are all passionate about delivering the best service we can for our patients and to help support each other.
