Job summary
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and reliable Receptionist to join our busy General Practice team on a part-time basis. As a key point of contact for patients, you will provide front-line reception and administrative support, ensuring a smooth and professional service.
We are looking for 2x 16.5 hour receptionists with specific shifts.
1= Monday 1.15pm-6.45pm, Wednesday 1.15pm-6.45pm, Friday 1.15pm-6.45pm
2= Monday 7.45am-1.15pm, Tuesday 1.15pm-6.45pm, Thursday 1.15pm-6.45pm
Main duties of the job
Greet patients and visitors in a polite and welcoming manner.
Answer telephone calls promptly and efficiently, booking appointments and handling general inquiries.
Process patient check-ins and update records using clinical software
Manage repeat prescription requests in line with practice protocols.
Ensure the reception area is kept tidy and confidential at all times.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Liaise with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to support the smooth running of the surgery.

Our Main branch is based in Sholing, with a sub branch in Bitterne.
