Act as the named Educational Supervisor for allocated GP trainees or medical students, ensuring they meet the competencies set by the RCGP and Health Education England (HEE).

Conduct structured educational meetings, typically every 6 months, and complete Educational Supervisors Reports (ESRs).

Monitor trainees ePortfolios, offering timely feedback and approving learning entries and assessments.

Provide academic and pastoral support, encouraging reflective practice and professional development.

Supervise the clinical work of trainees and medical students allocated to the practice, ensuring appropriate levels of oversight and patient safety.

Provide day-to-day feedback on clinical performance and conduct Clinical Supervisors Reports (CSRs) as required.

Promote evidence-based practice and clinical excellence within the training environment.

Attend and engage with local trainer workshops and development sessions.

Maintain up-to-date training in areas such as Equality and Diversity, WPBAs, and ePortfolio supervision.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the training programme within Glastonbury Health Centre and the wider training network.

As a GP Trainer, you will act as the named Educational Supervisor for allocated trainees or students and supervise their clinical work while fostering professional development and reflective practice. Youll have dedicated, protected time to focus on educational duties and will be part of a collaborative and supportive training environment.
We welcome applicants who have completed a recognised GP Trainer Course or are willing to undertake one with support. A minimum of two years post-CCT experience is required. You must work at least four clinical sessions per week, with an additional session allocated for training responsibilities.
