      If you're passionate about computer graphics and would like to work with leading graphics engineers on Intel's latest GPU hardware designs, then GPU IP Architecture team (GIA) has opportunities for you. In GIA we are focused on developing GPU IP to drive Intel's next growth business. Currently the GIA Performance Architecture team is looking for GPU Architect to work with the team located in Finland (Tampere, Espoo and Virtual). The Performance Architecture team is focused on overall application performance. We work with current and future generations of Intel's GPU products. The team has a strong presence in Finland and we are cooperating closely with architects and software/hardware engineering teams around the world. Our mission is to drive innovation, research and development of Intel graphics products with global impact. GPU Architect conducts competitive analysis and standards efforts, industry trends, and customer requests to develop hardware and software feature roadmap meeting platform needs. Ensures interoperability of hardware and software throughout the product life cycle. Evaluates feasibility tradeoffs and explores and defines new approaches and novel architectures for GPU. Performs behavioural and/or performance modelling of new features and configurations, conducts analysis of results using advanced statistics and data predictions for benchmarking and determining ROI of areas for improvement. Provides experimental/proof of concept changes for proposing design alternatives meeting performance, power, area, and timing constraints. Collaborates with architects, design engineers, verification engineers, and research teams to improve the overall design of GPU and overcome performance bottlenecks and constraints. Works hand in hand with presilicon and postsilicon teams to debug, root cause, and identify workarounds and solutions for critical failures.

      Qualifications:

      Qualifications 14+ years of experience in the graphics processor or game development industry with a track of completed commercial projects with visible results: shipped products, demos, patents, publications, etc. 3D graphics and HW/SW architecture experience Deep knowledge of GPU hardware pipeline Knowledge of 3D graphics theory, rendering algorithms and techniques used in games Experience with DirectX, Vulkan, OpenCL API's, machine learning libraries Experience in developing innovation and achieving operational excellence Strong leadership skills, while being highly energetic and motivated, independent and self-driven Any of the below skills and experience can make you stand out: Design, development, and integration of IP blocks for system-on-chip (SoC) components Functional and power/performance optimisation / and verification Experience in reading and writing technical documentation (high-level spec and micro-architecture spec is desirable) Knowledge of SoC and Platform level product architectures Experience with performance modelling, analysis, and profiling of key workloads Experience with Compiler Architecture and prototyping compiler optimization techniques for deep learning networks

      Work Model for this Role

      This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
