Preparation of payment schedules working within the fleet teams in AU and NZ to pay for the purchase of fleet as well as the addition of fleet into the fleet database. Forecasting the cash flow requirements for fleet is required.
Prepare and complete claims for vehicle rebates from various authorities in NZ and AU
Deletion of sold fleet out of the fleet database and assisting in the collection and identification of monies received for fleet sales.
Assisting with the fleet team IREC reports and Fleetpro allocations.
Perform costing adjustments for fleet vehicles and maintaining the overall integrity of the fleet database including ensuring the right make/model/use codes are available for categorising fleet and to identify errors if and when they occur though the performing of reconciliations.
Payment of fleet ancillaries such as VTNZ and other registration and on-road requirements.
Operation and understanding of multi-facets within the ERP system and associated interfaces ensuring system reliability at all times. Being able to also draw relevant reporting and information from the ERP system and assist other team members within and outside of finance in doing so.

Based at our Ellerslie office in Auckland and reporting to the Fleet & Franchisee Team Leader, you will assist with the general accounting functions of the Fleet and Franchise teams.

You will also be assisting with the external and internal audits, and all other statutory obligations, and ad hoc tasks as required ensuring these are completed timely and successfully.
To be successful in this role you will need to build strong relationships with both the Finance and Fleet teams as you will play a pivotal role in both areas, and in doing so, driving efficiencies and insights where possible.
What we are looking for:
Basic Accounting knowledge with ability to explain finance to non-finance people and continued research and self-develop accounting acumen and become a source of knowledge for accounting related matters.
Intermediate Excel knowledge including pivot tables and formulas and sound IT understanding to pick up new programs quickly.
The ability to work as a part of a team with a diverse group of people across multiple functions, and across multiple countries with strong communication and excellent presentation skills, being able to convey your point of view with confidence.
Also being able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills and adherence to deadlines, especially around month end.
Willingness and ability to learn and take on new challenges along with problem solving skills, strong attention to detail, and analytical skills, culminating to drive confidence in decision making.
Being able to identify areas of improvement and championing change of processes or systems.
