Assist in coordination of equipment and apparel for practice and competition.
Assist in laundry services, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing equipment and protective clothing. • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory controls for equipment and apparel.
Assist with equipment room management, and office responsibilities as requested.
Assist with scheduling and oversight of equipment room student workers.
Assist in executing various game day responsibilities as needed at the direction of the Associate Director of Athletics or Coordinator of Operations.
Provide excellent customer service and a positive environment to all coaches and team members.
Ensure a safe, organized and professional experience at all times for coaches, athletes, staff, and fans.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Equipment Operations and Services, Associate Director of Athletics or Coordinator of Operations.
Admission to Fairfield University. Graduate school application may occur at the same time as applying for the position.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Criminal background check • Ability to work any days and/or shifts needed, including nights and weekends as scheduled.

Driver’s license
Must be able to work both outside and inside events and tolerate variable weather conditions.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems as necessary and work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
Applicants must be personable, reliable, have great communication skills, and have high levels of integrity and professionalism in both behavior and appearance.
Professional interest in pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics.
Ability to take initiative and ownership of athletic and special events.
Job Description:
Position: Graduate Assistant, Equipment/Operations
Compensation: $12,000 annual stipend plus 18 credits per academic year
Reports to: Coordinator of Operations, Mahoney Arena & Athletics Facilities/Events
Fairfield University’s Department of Athletics currently seeks a dynamic individual to serve as Graduate Assistant for Equipment/Operations Successful candidates will work in collaboration with other Graduate Assistants, student workers and other members of the Fairfield Athletic Department under the direction of the Director of Equipment Operations and Services, Associate Director of Athletics and/or Coordinator of Operations.
Description:
The Graduate Assistant for Equipment/Operations assists the Equipment Room and Athletic Operations with certain duties during practices, games, and in the equipment room as needed. The duties for this position within the Fairfield Athletic Department include but are not limited to the following:
